Event Details

One hundred years after its publication, F. Scott Fitzgerald's, The Great Gatsby, remains more popular than ever, selling thousands of copies a years and inspiring movies, musicals, translations, graphic novels, and even video games.  Set on Long Island during the Roarding Twenties, Gatsby has had a fascinating history, at one point almost forgotten by the literary world, today considered (by many) our greatest American novel.  We will take a closer lok at the novel's origins, its early struggles and later successes, and its ongoing appeal in our time.  Presentation by professor, Richard Conway.
