Event Details
This program traces the development of salsa beginning with the manufacture and use of percussion instruments accompanying the pertinent and appropriate vocalization and dancing. This was permitted by the Spaniards under the impression that the Africans were practicing the Catholic faith.
Lecture by Jose Obando
Program will include a dance lesson. The lively merengue from the Dominican Republic will be taught.
