Event Details

This presentation will review the fundamental characteristics that constitute the art of the Renaissance.  Since all art is part of a larger social context, we will also examine some of the political, social, and economic forces that helped create the world of the Renaissance.  By examining famouse Renaissance paintings and sculpture, participants will be able to identify examples of Renaissance art, and contrast it with the art movements that came before and after the Renaissance.
