Terms and Conditions

Consult with your doctor before beginning this or any other exercise class.  As with exercise classes in general, as a participant, you acknowledge the risk of accident and injury.  Debra Monaco hereby disclaims any liability for any loss, damage, or injury in connection with any use of this class or the instructions and/or advice expressed therein.  In participating in this class, you agree to these terms and conditions.

*Please enter a valid email address when registering. You will receive a virtual link via email before the program starts.*

Please feel free to join the class up to 15 minutes early.  This will help to ensure that any potential technical difficulties which might arise can be resolved before class begins.  Also, be sure to find your yoga space, and to have your blankets, blocks, belts, pillows, chair(s), and of course your mat, available.  Be sure to adjust your webcam's position to provide the best view of yourself.  This way, Debra can see your practice and can make appropriate corrections, as needed.

Technology Requirements
Depending on the device you intend to use to join, the following requirements apply as follows:

  • If using either a smart phone (iPhone or Android) or a tablet (iPad or Android) to join, you will need to install the free Zoom app.  The app can be found in the App Store for iPhone/iPad users, or in the Play Store for Android users.
  • If using a computer (Windows or Mac) to join, you will need to download and install the free Zoom software from www.zoom.us.  You will also need a microphone and a webcam.  If you do not have a working webcam, you may still participate.  You will still be able to see and hear Debra.  However, Debra will not be able to see you.  She will therefore not be able to make corrections to your postures, so please be extra cautious.
  • If dialing in from a landline or non-smart phone, no additional requirements are needed.  However, bear in mind that neither you nor Debra will be able to see each another.  You will only be able to hear each other, so please be extra cautious.

 DISCLAIMER

Dear Patrons,

Our Library mission is to provide paths to life-long learning through diverse programs and resources for our community. This is accomplished by promoting the joy of reading, the use of technologies and a sense of cultural awareness.

These are certainly unprecedented times and we are truly saddened by the fact that we are unable to provide the simple everyday Library services we all have come to count upon.

That said, we have decided to provide virtual programming utilizing the internet during these isolate times so that we may connect on some level. Please be advised that the Library makes no warranties and/or representations concerning the virtual programs.  Your decision to participate in the programs is an express consent on your part to waive any and all claims against the Library which may result from said participation and hereby release and discharge the Massapequa Public Library from any and all liabilities.

The views, thoughts, and opinions expressed in the virtual programs belong solely to the presenter, and are not the views, thoughts or opinions of the Massapequa Public Library, it's trustees, officers and/or employees.

Thank you for your continued support of the Library.
